Sunday 28th July 2013

Hello Friends,

We meet next Sunday afternoon, 28th July, from 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm in the ‘Lounge’ in the ‘Lounge’ @ Emmanuel Church Centre, 43 Forest Road. Your hosts will be Aaron, Tricia and Cristal - with several other volunteers! OPEN-HOUSE International Friendship Café is especially for overseas visitors to Loughborough (students, academics, employees ~ married or single, children and adults); those for whom the U.K. is a ‘foreign’ land!

Please remember, we do not meet on Sunday afternoons during August. You will continue to receive weekly emails with details of other weekday events. The next Sunday meeting will be on 1st September. Our weekly Bible Study groups continue as usual.

On Thursday, 1st August we are having a day out at Leicester's National Space Centre and Abbey Pumping Museum. The total cost will be just under £20, and we shall travel by bus or car. Bring something to eat and drink, a camera, some cash (and a Student Card if you have one). We shall MEET outside Emmanuel Church at 9.20 am - please don't be late!

May you all experience God’s wonderful blessing,

Now the University year has ended, many of you will be leaving Loughborough, travelling back across the world to your home countries. Please tell me when you are leaving, so we can wish you well for the future. herever you are in the world, you can keep in touch with OPEN-HOUSE through our website: http://openhouselboro2006.blog.fc2.com. Always up-to-date with news and photographs, it has many useful links for you to access. Your families and friends – and colleagues - will also find our website useful and informative.

It’s also a time of year when many students are looking for short-term accommodation, until December. If you know of any vacant rooms in shared houses please let me know.

How will newcomers know about OPEN-HOUSE unless you tell them? Ask me for an information poster - you can put these on notice-boards where you live, or at University meeting places. We also have small invitation cards; keep a few in your wallet or purse, and give them to newcomers you meet.
