2nd April 2014

Hello Friends,

Many thanks to Aaron for organising last Saturday's Walk in the Peak District.   A huge crowd of 30 eager walkers, aged from under-5 to under-75, from many nations, enjoyed a sunny and happy day in this beautiful area of Derbyshire.   'Little Bob' covered 11.6 kilometres, whilst John and Kevin managed 7.2 miles.   Where next, Aaron?

On Thursday, 3rd April you are invited to the free Lunchtime Concert - Mozart & Beethoven chamber music - at Emmanuel Church (soup and roll served 12 noon), concert begins 12.45 pm.   Retiring collection to cover costs.

We’ll meet next Sunday afternoon (6th April) from 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm in the ‘Lounge’ @ Emmanuel Church Centre, 43 Forest Road. Your hosts will be Clive, Judith and Helen ~ plus other volunteers!  OPEN-HOUSE International Friendship Café welcomes overseas visitors to Loughborough (students, academics, employees, residents - married or single, children and adults) - those for whom the U.K. is a ‘foreign’ land.

Do invite your overseas friends to join us on Sunday afternoons - we have travel books, games of skill, toys for the children, refreshments - and opportunities to make new friends, learn about different places, and practice your English.

Also next Sunday, you are invited to an International Tea @ John Storer House.   Enjoy a ‘Bring-n-Share’ meal followed by a stimulating talk from Bryan Shingler.   All are welcome - 5 pm to 7 pm.

May you all experience God’s wonderful blessing,

Clive
