28th May 2014

Hello Friends,

This Friday, 30th May, we are going for a Day Out to Wollaton Hall, a 400-year-old Elizabethan House in Nottingham which has a renowned Natural History Museum.   Total cost including bus-fares and entry will be about £14 each.   Bring some food and a drink (they have a good cafeteria), a camera, umbrella, and a plastic bag on sit on if the grass is damp (weather forecast is cloudy and dry).   MEET outside Emmanuel Church at 9.15 am, or at the No 9 bus-stop in Baxtergate at 9.35 am.   Don't be late - 'cos the bus won't wait!

We’ll meet next Sunday afternoon (1st June) from 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm in the ‘Lounge’ @ Emmanuel Church Centre, 43 Forest Road ~ your hosts will be Clive, Judith and Helen ~ plus other volunteers!  OPEN-HOUSE International Friendship Café welcomes overseas visitors to Loughborough (students, academics, employees, residents - married or single, children and adults) - those for whom the U.K. is a ‘foreign’ land.

Do invite your overseas friends to join us on Sunday afternoons - we have travel books, games of skill, toys for the children, refreshments - and opportunities to make new friends, learn about different places, and practice your English.

We've been asked may times about interesting places to visit in the UK, so attached is a list of helpful 'tourist' websites for you.   Please tell me of other websites of interest.

May you all experience God’s wonderful blessing,
