17th September 2014

Hello Friends,

The bring-and-share meal was really delicious last Sunday, so a big 'thankyou' to everyone who took part - it was especially good to welcome several new visitors to OPEN-HOUSE.

Next Sunday afternoon, 21st September, is a COMMUNITY FUN DAY at Emmanuel Church.   Come and join in the activities~- from 12 noon until 4 pm.   There will be bouncy-castles and games on the grass for younger folk, and music, competitions, food - and much more - for everyone else.   Aaron, David ~ plus other volunteers ~ will be there to welcome you.   OPEN-HOUSE International Friendship Café welcomes overseas visitors to Loughborough (students, academics, employees, residents - married or single, children and adults); those for whom the U.K. is a ‘foreign’ land!

There are many new international students and academics arriving in Loughborough.   You know how lonely and puzzling it can be, in a foreign country for the first time, so, if you see them on campus, or shopping in the market or town centre, then please tell them about OPEN-HOUSE ~ even better, bring them with you on Sunday afternoon, and introduce them to many new friends.

Advance Notice - on Friday, 26th September, David Davies is taking us to the National Space Centre and Abbey Pumping Museum - see the attachment for details.

May you all experience God’s wonderful blessing,
